  • 24th & 25th July 2025

  • 16th & 17th August 2025

Unleash your creativity by creating photograms with three-dimensional objects using ultraviolet lamps. On day one, discover the art of enhancing cyanotypes through double exposure techniques and layering hand-drawn images and text with acetate.

On the second day, delve into the captivating world of cyanotype toning and explore various methods for infusing colour into your prints, such as the wet cyanotype process and watercolour painting. These workshops are designed for all skill levels, inviting you to embark on a journey of artistic expression with no prior experience needed.

Terms & Conditions:

I want to ensure that my classes provide the best possible experience, so here's everything you need to know before booking. The course offers the use of a professional studio, equipment, materials and tuition. Refreshments are available, although lunch is not included. Please arrive roughly fifteen minutes early so that you can get used to the surroundings. Bring a pad and a pencil to take notes and please do not wear your favourite clothes. Apron and gloves will be provided to protect from splashes. Consider bringing along any items of nature, such as flowers and leaves, to work with or flat objects, such as stencils, feathers or lace, that will make your artwork unique to you. There is no visitor car parking at Woodend. Pay-and-display parking is available on surrounding streets, and public car parks are nearby.

Refunds & Cancellation:

Refunds and transfers will not be issued for non-attendance without prior cancellation. If you need to cancel your booking, please provide at least two weeks’ notice before the workshop date by writing to me via email. Please note that your booking will only be considered cancelled once you receive email confirmation. If I can resell your place, you will receive a full refund minus a £30 admin fee. This fee covers the costs of refunding and finding a new participant. All refunds are paid back using the same method of payment. If I am unable to find a replacement you will be offered a transfer to another date. I am happy for you to send someone else to replace you, incurring no admin fee, but please inform me of the person’s name and contact details.

Cancellations by Angela Chalmers Studio:

In the unlikely event that a workshop needs to be cancelled, I will give you as much notice as possible with alternative dates or a full refund. I cannot be held liable for any travelling costs, so customers should ensure they have suitable travel insurance, which can also provide cover for occurrences such as illness and travel disruption. I strongly recommend checking the cancellation policies for your accommodation, too.
